Our history
Traditional Lift Products Ltd. was formed in 1999 to supply high quality bespoke products to the lift industry. TLP supplies lifts and components to the major brand names within the industry along with many of the independent companies. Our speciality includes products which require a high level of expertise to Engineer and Manufacture. Notable projects include two thirty tonne lorry lifts used within a department store, an explosion proof lift to EexD, scenic lifts…
A flexible approach is taken to the level of our supply. We can supply components which are pre engineered by our customers or by ourselves. Alternatively, we can supply full lift installations, which includes general arrangement and design drawings, along with procuring or manufacturing all the required material.
The company management procedures have been accredited BSEN ISO 9001:2008 standards.
In recent years, our product range has been expanded to include lift shaft structures either with scenic or non scenic requirements. Often supplied directly to the construction company or end user.
In 2008 TLP opened a shop at the Knowsley factory supplying a wide range of products ranging from things specific to the lift industry such as; guide rails and top of car handrail systems, right through to site essentials such as cleaning equipment, paint or fire extinguishers.

Our workshops
Located in a 24000 square foot modern high bay industrial unit. We have two 5 tonne gantry crane which cover 12000 square feet of our factory to give us the capability of building and shipping pre-assembled lift cars and structures.
Fully equipped workshop with machine tools, including laser cutting and engraving capacity to provide an integrated manufacturing facility to manufacture lift cars and associated products.
Most processes are carried out in house allowing us to control our costs and provide flexibility to produce short lead-times for complex products.
All designs carried out in AutoCAD® LT allowing transfer of Data files to and from our customers. In addition this allows for fast programming of our NC machine tools via data exchange files.
Traditional Lift Products are certified to ISO 9001:2008 for the design and manufacture of lifts.
Our experienced engineer’s carry out specialist design work at our in-house design office.
We employ a team of experienced, skilled tradesmen with many years working in the lift industry in the workshop and on site in the installation of our products. We have an active apprentice scheme which we are very proud of.
Our work force are extremely flexible and multi skilled allowing us to resource projects of a wide technical variety and complexity.
