Employees at Traditional Lift Products have taken part in a travel survey and prize draw, aimed at finding out about their current commuting habits, and what might encourage them to walk, cycle, car-share or use public transport instead of driving to work alone.

Jack Balmer and Michael Marr are pictured with supervisor Ray Wilson, and Patience Jones of Knowsley Chamber of Commerce.

The information from the travel surveys has been used to prepare a Travel Plan – a package of measures including free cycle maps and training, free taster bus passes, ‘Dr Bike’ checks, personal journey planning and more. The overall aim is increase active travel and reduce the number of car journeys made by staff – with all the health, financial and environmental benefits this can bring.
